History
In the 13th century, Grens was a parish village with a church dedicated to Saint Peter. The municipality adopted its coat of arms in 1919; it shows the keys of Saint Peter. The area long belonged to the lordship of Gingins before becoming an independent lordship in the 17th century. This independent lordship was owned by the La Fléchère family in the 18th century.

There is a bike rental station in Grens on Allée des Moulins in Flèchères Nord. A second station with a bicycle rack is located next to the pavilion at Place 1.
