Wangenried is a locality within the political municipality of Wangen an der Aare in the Swiss canton of Bern. On 1 January 2024, Wangenried was incorporated into this municipality.
The locality is situated at around 473 metres above sea level. It is 2 km south of Wangen an der Aare and 9 km east of Solothurn; both distances are measured as the crow flies.

Landscape
The settlement stretches along a slope facing northwest on the southern edge of the Aare lowlands and lies within the Oberaargau region.
