Geographical classification

Bipp is located near Attiswil. The Solothurn aviary is situated in the surrounding area. In the wider regional area are the Olten monastery, Spitzenflüeli, and Hornbachegg.

Attiswil railway station began operations on January 9, 1918, on the Solothurn–Niederbipp railway line. Main roads 5, 12, and 22 share a section through Attiswil; through traffic bypasses the village south of the railway line.

History and culture

Attiswil has historical ties to the former Lordship of Bipp and later to Bern. The village church was built in 1948. After that, Attiswil had its own Reformed parish within the Oberbipp parish.
