Rüschegg’s winter offering includes five ski lift facilities in Eywald, Lischboden, Selital, and Gägger, with more than 35 kilometers of groomed downhill ski runs. The Gantrisch cross-country skiing center also offers 45 kilometers of machine-groomed trails.

Nature
The southern edge of Rüschegg is formed by the Gantrisch range. The upper reaches of the Kalte Sense are located within the municipality. Rüschegg extends on both sides of the Schwarzwasser to where it enters the Schwarzwasser Gorge near Wislisau.
Rüschegg has around 95 kilometers of hiking trails, maintained by the municipality and the Rüschegg Tourist Association. The Gantrisch Panorama Trail also runs through the municipality. The Gambach Falls are located on the hiking trail between Wyden and Rüschegg.
Eywald swimming pool is an outdoor summer pool with a swimming pool and a children’s pool. Both pools are heated to 25–29 °C using solar energy. There are numerous places to relax and swim along the banks of the Schwarzwasser, Gambach, and Wyssbach. Rüschegg and the Gantrisch region also offer mountain biking tours and excursions of varying difficulty.
Culture and history
Traditional occupations in Rüschegg included peddling, basket weaving, and repairing pans and kettles.
The Reformed Church of Rüschegg was built in 1812–1813 according to plans by the architect Johann Daniel Osterrieth and stands on the green Rüschegg hill. Inside is Franz Gertsch’s large woodcut “Schwarzwasser II”.
Buildings associated with Rüschegg include the Untere Schwand Bridge. The covered wooden bridge crosses the Biberze and connects the Rüschegg–Rüeggisberg area.
Practical information
The Gantrisch Nature Park office provides tourist information and arranges holiday homes, holiday apartments, and alpine huts for visitors to Rüschegg.
During the high season, weekend visitors can use the Nature & Sports Bus from Schwarzenburg to Rüschegg Süfternen, Kreuzung, to reach the Gäggersteg. On other days, the Gäggersteg can be reached by taking PostBus route 323 to Gurnigel, Wasserscheide, and then following the Panorama Trail on foot for approximately 1.5 hours.
