Castile and León: Hotels and Accommodation
Castile and León combines archaeological sites, historic buildings, gorges and extensive paths. The history at the caves of the Sierra de Atapuerca reaches particularly far back: they preserve fossils of Europe’s earliest humans from almost one million years ago. The archaeological site of Atapuerca was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. Visitor reception centres are available in the municipalities of Ibeas de Juarros and Atapuerca.
