Routes

BTT Route 2 runs through the area around the villages of Gotarta and Ventolà, which belong to the municipality of el Pont de Suert. It is a moderately difficult cross-country route. The route to the Bordas de Raons reaches Gotarta and then turns onto a well-maintained track leading to the Bordas. During the ascent, views open up over the Escales Reservoir and the Aragonese area of El Pont de Suert.

Culture

In the centre of Gotarta, in the municipality of el Pont de Suert, stands the Església de Santa Cecília de Gotarta, a small rectangular church. It dates from the 18th century and is dedicated to Santa Cecília. It was built on the site of an earlier church dedicated to Sant Miquel.

The feast of Santa Cecília takes place in Gotarta on 22 November. The date thus stands on its own and complements the church's architectural features with a separate date in the course of the year.

The area around Gotarta also contains three other churches: Esglesia de Sant Climent, Pilaret de Sant Urbà and Esglesia de Sant Esteve de Ginast.
