Dedinky: Ski Hotel, Dedinky–Geravy Chairlift and Nature
Dedinky and Geravy are connected by the Dedinky–Geravy chairlift. The lift runs from Dedinky to the Geravy plateau and offers views of the natural landscape of this part of the Slovak Paradise. Geravy is a vast, well-preserved karst plateau in the southern Slovak Paradise. Mountain meadows, clearings and small areas of woodland shape the landscape of the plateau and give the place a distinctly natural character.
Nature
The Zejmarská Gorge, designated as a national nature reserve, is located near Dedinky. At the same time, it is the only accessible gorge in the southern Slovak Paradise. The beginning of the gorge can be reached from the junction near the hotel in Dedinky via a red-marked trail in about 20 minutes. Thus, in addition to the protected landscape, it is also associated with a specifically named starting point in the village, while the approximate time indication preserves the described nature of the route.
Water
The Palcmanská Maša reservoir near Dedinky covers 86 hectares. Swimming is possible at the reservoir. Fishing is also permitted in Palcmanská Maša; the body of water belongs to the trout fishing areas. The three stated characteristics—size, the possibility of swimming and its classification as a trout water—describe the connection with the water around Dedinky from different perspectives.
Cycling
The Hnilecká cyklomagistrála extends another connection with the area well beyond Dedinky. The cycle route is just under 70 kilometres long and passes through 11 municipalities. It starts in Dedinky and has a second starting point in Margecany. Both places are therefore explicitly named as starting points of the same route, while the length and number of municipalities it passes through define the route's geographical extent.
Hiking
A hiking trail also leads from Dedinky to Havrania skala. This trail has no ladders or steps and is suitable for dogs. Both characteristics refer directly to the described trail and remain limited to this section of the route.
Culture and Transport
The Roman Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary stands in the village. The church is a Baroque-Classical building dating from 1835. The Margecany–Červená Skala railway line, which runs through Dedinky, is also part of the area's transport history and spatial connections. Thus, sacred architecture and a named railway connection appear alongside the landscape and route connections in Dedinky.
