Cycling route

The 69.3-kilometre-long Hnilecká cycling route runs between Dedinky and Margecany through Nálepkovo. It follows Class II and III roads, local roads and, briefly, a forest road.

For a longer cycling route, it is worth checking the current route conditions before setting off. This is particularly important when a section runs along a forest road. Even when planning to use individual sections, current information on passability and the route may be relevant for planning the day. The total length describes the complete connection; for day planning, an individual section can therefore also be considered. On a partial route, the specified road types remain relevant. Landscape

The Hnilec Valley near Nálepkovo is comparatively narrow. The mountain slopes often extend right to the riverbanks, so the valley, river course and slopes lie close together. This spatial form shapes the landscape along the river valley, without the valley appearing as a wide plain.

Žaloba and Sosninka, both mountains, are located in the immediate surroundings of Nálepkovo. Holý Vrch and Hlinisko, also mountains, are located in the surrounding area.

Culture

The Roman Catholic Church of “St. Stephen” in Nálepkovo is a single-nave Classical building with a segmentally enclosed presbytery and an attached tower structure dating from 1770 to 1781. Single-nave means that the church interior has a single main nave. The presbytery is located at the end of this space and is architecturally characterised by its segmental ending.

The church furnishings include a late Baroque high altar from the period when the church was built, as well as a pulpit and an organ from the late 18th century.

The Evangelical church in Nálepkovo is a single-nave late Baroque building with a segmentally enclosed presbytery. It dates from 1785 and has no tower. Inside are a brick-built Classical altar from the early 19th century and Empire-style pews from the same period as the altar, also from the early 19th century. Further cultural attractions

The wider region around Nálepkovo is home to Spiš Castle, a castle, the ruins of Kláštorisko, Spišská Kapitula monastery and the Sans-souci church.
