Małe Ciche is located in the valley of the Filipczański Stream at approximately 840 metres above sea level, between Zgorzelisko and Zadni Wierch. The area around Małe Ciche includes mountain forests and the Filipka Valley, which belongs to the Tatra Mountains.

History and culture

Małe Ciche developed from a pastoral settlement where sheep were grazed. The recorded history of the village includes a royal grant to the Pawlik brothers in 1669.

The settlement’s historical identity is associated with the Pawlikowski and Żegleń families. The name refers to the meadow on which the settlement is located and distinguishes it as Małe Ciche.
