Trails between forest and alpine pasture

The route begins in the San Domenico district of Varzo at an altitude of 1,420 metres and takes the cable car to Alpe Ciamporino at 1,936 metres, where the actual hike begins. The marked F50 trail leads from Alpe Ciamporino to Balma, the entrance to Alpe Veglia. A cable car is a lift with enclosed cabins and here forms the first described section of the route.
