Cycling routes starting and ending at Rorà Fucine/Ruà

The Anello del Ciapel circular route starts and ends at Rorà Fucine/Ruà and is 9.78 km long. It runs over asphalt and unpaved paths; the Anello del Ciapel is designated for mountain bikes and road bikes. The start and finish are therefore in the same place, while the surface changes within the circuit. Stone and history at two sites in Rorà

The Ecomuseo della Pietra “Le Loze di Rorà” comprises two sites: a museum site in the village of Rorà and a second site at the disused Tupinet quarry in the Rorà Valley. At the second site, the extraction of the stone is reconstructed. The historic Tupinet quarry in Rorà has been set up as a museum trail.

Visits to the historic Tupinet quarry are limited to small groups accompanied by an authorised guide and to favourable weather conditions. In the museum in Rorà, the kitchen, stable, bedroom and school are reconstructed as areas of everyday life. The museum also includes two rooms dedicated to the history of the Waldensians and stone processing.

The Anello di Pietra between three municipalities

The Anello di Pietra provides a complete view of the territory of the three municipalities of Rorà, Luserna San Giovanni and Bagnolo Piemonte, where Luserna stone is currently quarried. The route runs from Borgata Rumer in Rorà to Punta Cournour in Rorà. Both route points are located in Rorà. The Anello di Pietra follows an old municipal road connecting the settlement of Rumer with the area near Punta Cournour.

Slopes and routes above Borgata Ruà

The Peyret slope leads to the hairpin bend above Borgata Ruà. A local slope starts at Peyret. The “Valanza (Ex Rifugio) da Luserna San Giovanni, giro” route reaches the asphalt road just above Borgata Ruà. Another route leads into the territory of the municipality of Rorà after the village of Franchino.

Landmarks on the route between Rua and Fucine

The second hairpin bend on the route is in Località Rua at an altitude of 698 m. Shortly after Località Rua, the route leaves Località Fucine, at an altitude of 693 m, on the right. Both elevations belong to the place markers along this route.

A stage hike through the villages of Rorà

The “Cammina che si mangia” event was a stage hike through the particularly scenic villages of Rorà and was held there for the 21st time.
