The MUPIC – Museo delle Pietre Coti della Valle Seriana in Nembro focuses on the local tradition of extracting and working whetstones. These stones were used to sharpen agricultural tools such as hay mowers. The museum also presents the stages involved in extracting, processing and marketing whetstones. The focus is therefore not only on the finished material, but also on the process from extraction through use and sale.

Another historical highlight is the Museo della Miniera in Nembro. It was reconstructed to resemble the entrance to a mine and displays historical evidence such as tools, materials, documents and photographs. Visitors interested in working and industrial history gain their own perspective on the town's past, without the subjects of whetstones and mining having to be treated as the same.

The Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta in Borgo contains remains dating from the 5th or 6th century AD, as well as a later medieval structure. After years of deterioration, the church was restored in 2000. In addition, the Santuario della Madonna dello Zuccarello houses a fresco depicting the Madonna with the dead Christ, which was solemnly crowned in 1920. Nembro's sacred architectural history and religious art thus appear in different forms.

The Oasi Saletti is a phytoremediation lake of approximately 6,000 m² within a wetland of natural interest covering approximately 12,500 m² in total. These figures make clear that the lake and the wetland are different spatial units. At the same time, the Oasi Saletti is considered a wetland of considerable natural importance, with great plant and animal biodiversity.

The Oasi Saletti gives school pupils, students and other interested visitors the opportunity to observe spontaneously emerging ecological balances and new biocoenoses. The term biocoenoses refers to communities of different organisms. Anyone interested in natural development processes can gain a concrete understanding here of plant and animal life in the wetland.

The cycle and pedestrian path between Gavarno and Nembro is important for getting around between the districts. It connects the district of Gavarno with Nembro's larger central area. The path therefore represents the spatial relationship between a district and the main centre, without implying any particular distance or mode of transport for your stay.

The new Lungoserio adds an equipped leisure area, also designed as an open-air museum providing contact with the river. The riverside area complements the historic museums and sacred sites with an outdoor setting where the relationship between leisure, landscape and water becomes a subject in its own right.
