Culture in the Town and Hamlets

The Museo Mineralogico in Saint-Vincent is the only mineralogical museum in the Aosta Valley. It displays minerals from the mountains around Saint-Vincent, particularly from Monte Barbeston. The Chiesa di San Maurizio di Moron is one of the oldest churches in the Aosta Valley. Beneath the parish church of Saint-Vincent lies an archaeological site that can be visited via an educational underground tour.

The Museo d'Arte Sacra in the hamlet's church houses the statue of the patron saint of Amay, dated 1628. The Capard wine press has explanatory panels describing how it works as a lever press. The restored wine press of Maison-Neuve retains its historic spindle with a stone counterweight, as well as the large walnut-wood lever beam.

Trails through Forests, Slopes and Local Districts

The Saint-Vincent–Moron trail passes through a rich chestnut and beech forest, follows a canal along its entire route and leads to Moron, a hillside settlement made up of seven hamlets at an altitude of 833 metres.

The Saint-Vincent–Terme–La Tour Rosset–Tzan Mort–Capard circular trail runs through vineyards, hay meadows and coppice woods, passing centuries-old chestnut trees, and leads to Tzan-Mort, a place associated with traditional games.

The Ru Courtaud irrigation system can be traced back more than 600 years and serves to green the sunny hillside of Saint-Vincent. The water of the Ru Courtaud flows above ground through the forest of the Col de Joux. The Ru Courtaud can be used as an alternative route through nature.

From Maison-Neuve, a level path leads to the traditional games field; a comfortable mule track also climbs uphill to Dizeille and Perrière. The official Saint-Vincent–Col de Joux–Verrès–Saint-Vincent circular trail begins and ends in Saint-Vincent and passes through the Col de Joux and Verrès.

Cheese, Festivals and Evening Entertainment

In Salirod, you can visit the cellars of the local cheese dairy, where wheels of Fontina are stored and matured. Cheese and other locally produced goods can be purchased there.

The Carnevale dei piccoli lasts one week and ends on Shrove Tuesday with a celebration in one of the town's squares, where polenta and sausages are distributed to everyone.

The Casino de la Vallée extends over 3,500 square metres on two floors and has more than 400 electronic gaming terminals. The Casino de la Vallée is open from 10:00 a.m. seven days a week.
