History
Gradina is a prehistoric earthwork enclosure above Fertőboz. The hillfort there was protected by a double rampart system and contained settlement remains. The site is associated with the Early and Middle Bronze Age.
Archaeological finds from Fertőboz reflect influences from two cultural traditions of the Bronze Age. The Lackenbach Gypsy internment camp (concentration camp) is also located in the wider regional area of Fertőboz.
