Another aquatic experience is offered by the Ostsee Therme Scharbeutz, which features a varied water park, large slides and a sauna area with 11 different saunas; it also has direct access to the beach. Nature by the Lake, in the Forest and on Fehmarn
The Eutin Lake Circular Trail runs partly right along the shore of the GroĂźer Eutiner See and partly along natural paths through the forest. In Eutin, the Ostholstein Museum presents changing exhibitions as well as a permanent exhibition about Eutin during its heyday around 1800. Eutin Castle Museum is located right beside the GroĂźer Eutiner See and is surrounded by a landscaped garden. These two attractions have different focuses: the permanent exhibition explores a historical period in the town's history, while the castle museum is defined by its lakeside location and surrounding garden.
Every summer, the Eutin Festival presents a variety of opera and operetta performances as open-air events.
