At the eastern edge of Kasseedorf lies the approximately 132-hectare Kasseedorfer Teiche nature reserve. Within a small area, ponds, streams, small fens, spring fens, dry grasslands, open meadows, and woodland meet one another.

It includes a renovated bakehouse that can be booked in advance, a simple sleeping area in the attic, and a camping meadow. The facilities are intended for hikers and cyclists and allow a maximum stay of one night.
