Nature

Züsch has well-developed hiking trails for exploring the surrounding nature. Near Züsch, the Primstalsperre reservoir offers a 12 km circular trail as well as a 5.9 km trail called the Planet Trail.

The Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park offers individual and guided hikes, adventure tours, and excursions to natural and cultural attractions. In the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park region, there are cycling routes of varying difficulty levels and mountain bike trails through the forest.

A route over the Dollberge passes through Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park, follows part of the Hunsrück Trail, and returns via the Nonnweiler Reservoir and Kloppbrucher Weiher. Another hike around the aforementioned reservoir passes the Planet Trail, a historic hammer mill, and a Celtic ring wall.

Culture and history

The Catholic Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Züsch was built between 1780 and 1784. It retains a Neo-Baroque interior with a Rococo high altar and pulpit, features a three-towered façade, and has a matching interior. The Protestant church in Züsch was consecrated on October 8, 1837.

At the beginning of the 17th century, the Züscher Hammer developed into the largest ironworks in the Hunsrück. The reconstructed, water-powered hammer mill at Züscher Hammer can be visited.
