Nature

The Katzenkopf Eifel View offers a panoramic view from a platform built on a demolished Westwall bunker, encompassing the Schneifel ridge, the Islek uplands and the Prüm Limestone Basin. There are panoramic information panels and benches there; many Eifel View stations are accessible without barriers.

There are seven Eifel Views in the Prüm region, each offering its own individual panorama.

Culture and History

The site of the Münsterberg Cross is attributed 500 years of history. The Gondenbrett Plague Cross was erected on the Münsterberg in memory of a catastrophe. The Gondenbrett Cross was the destination of many pilgrimages and processions; the Erasmus Procession reached the Münsterberg Cross via seven Stations of the Cross.

Next to a section of the Way of St. James leading from Gondenbrett to Prüm stands the Gondenbrett Ossuary Memorial. The Gondenbrett ossuary was partially restored and now displays works of art by Sebastian Langner.

St. Dionysius stands in Marienpark and forms the centre of the village. The building was constructed in exposed brickwork in the mid-19th century and belongs to the post-classical architectural style.
