Daaden: Hotels and Accommodation
The Daadener Land–Herdorf Mining Trail leads as a circular hiking trail to sites connected with the historic mining tradition in the valleys of the Daade and Heller rivers. The route is approximately 18 kilometres long, takes around five hours and has about 210 metres of elevation gain.
If you would like to book a hotel in Daaden, choosing accommodation remains a separate part of planning your trip.
Hiking and Trails
In the Hüllbuche area along the Hellerhöhenweg, there is a rest area and hiking car park, a Nordic walking trail and access to the D1 to D9 circular hiking trails.
The Daaden Panorama Trail is an approximately five-kilometre circular route that is mostly level and features benches and views of the town centre.
The Historical Circular Walks in Daaden are available in three GPS-supported versions: a complete circular walk covering 3.2 kilometres, a 400-metre loop through the inner centre and an extended 1.2-kilometre loop through the centre.
Daaden’s signposted historic buildings can also be explored on a circular walk with a downloadable GPX track.
Culture
Daaden’s Protestant Baroque church was rebuilt by Julius Rothweil from 1722 to 1724. Its tower is adorned with the iron rooster angel, the town’s landmark.
The late-Romantic Röver organ from 1908 is considered an important cultural monument. Guided tours of Daaden Church offer further discoveries and can also explain the rooster angel.
The Alte Post in Daaden was built in 1671 and now houses the Daaden Local History Museum and the archive of the working group for local history. The tithe barn was built in the Siegerland region in 1603 and rebuilt in Daaden in 1658.
Landscape
The Hohenseelbachskopf is a 504-metre-high basalt cone with crystallised basalt columns.

The Daadetalbahn runs hourly between Betzdorf and Daaden. Daaden railway station is centrally located near the town centre.
