Jossgrund comprises the districts of Burgjoß, Oberndorf, Pfaffenhausen and Lettgenbrunn, as well as the hamlet of Villbach. Burgjoß, Oberndorf and Pfaffenhausen are located in the Jossa Valley, while Lettgenbrunn lies in the Spessart hills. All districts and the hamlet are situated along the upper course of the Jossa in the Hessian Spessart; the highest point in the municipality is the approximately 540-metre-high summit of Langer Berg.
