Nennslingen is located on the Weißenburg Alb, which is part of the Franconian Alb. The municipality is characterized by a spacious, open landscape. The Anlauter flows through the municipality and the main town; within the municipal area, it is fed by the Hirschgraben and the Erlenbach.
Culture
Nennslingen has a long history. The settlement was founded by the Juthungi between 400 and 450, and Nennslingen was first mentioned in a document in 914. In 1539, the town was granted market rights after the Schenken von Geyern had sought to make Nennslingen the center of their territory.
