A hiking route from Teisnach follows the Schwarzer Regen into the Mariental valley and continues to the Pfleidererkanzel viewing platform. From there, the view extends to the river, a weir, a power station, and the tracks of the Waldbahn.

Teisnach is connected to the B11 and B85 roads. Rail services to the town are provided by Deutsche Bahn and the regional Waldbahn railway; this also includes the Waldbahn WBA1 line.
Culture and History
The Neunussberg castle ruins are located in the surrounding area of Teisnach. The wider regional area is also home to Mitterfels Castle, St. George’s Church, and the spa gardens.
Historically, Teisnach was a small fishing village on the Schwarzer Regen. The town was first documented in 1367; a mill in Teisnach is recorded for 1430.
