The parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Frauenzell dates predominantly from the early 18th century. Its choir is late Gothic, while the rest of the church was newly built in 1709–1710 by Frater Christoph Gessinger. The tower was rebuilt in 1874.

Culture and History

The Raritäten-Kästle Village Museum presents more than 500 historical objects, most of which originate from the surrounding region. In the center of Frauenzell is also the Zur Traube village inn, which was first mentioned in the 16th century. Following a community-supported restoration, it once again served cooked meals in 2014.

The hamlet of Gschnaidt belongs to Frauenzell. It is home to a pilgrimage church and a historic Way of the Cross. Zeil Castle is also located in the area surrounding Frauenzell. The Grabenstrasse Defensive Wall is likewise located nearby.
