Dorfen is located in the central Isen Valley, through which the Isen River flows. The 76-kilometre-long river is a left-bank tributary of the Inn. Dorfen is also surrounded by gently rolling landscapes: north of the Isen Valley stretches the gently hilly Isar-Inn Hill Country, while south of the river there are elongated hills, deep valleys and extensive wooded areas.

Anyone wishing to book a hotel in Dorfen can make their choice based on their own travel plans.
