Geographical Location
Sigmaringen is associated with the Upper Danube and is the county town of the Sigmaringen district. The area lies in the Danube Valley, south of the Swabian Jura and around 40 kilometres north of Lake Constance. Wooded hills surround Sigmaringen. The district includes seven rivers and three nature reserves.
