Valezan is situated on a south-facing slope at an altitude of 1,200 m and offers expansive views from the Col du Petit St Bernard to the Col de la Madeleine. Several prominent peaks rise in the surrounding area: Rocheboc, Roche à Tomas, Mont Rosset and Pointe de Combe Bénite.

Landscape and irrigation channels
400 m downstream, at an altitude of 1,610 m, lies the Bief de Valezan irrigation channel. It is 4.5 km long, flows into the Nant des Moulins and has a gradient of approximately 38 mm per metre.
Along the Sentier des biefs, you can discover the mountain pasture chalets of Valezan and La Côte d'Aime, as well as the old irrigation channels. These channels were essential for supplying the mountain communities with water and thus preserving their crops.
Heritage orienteering course
The Valezan heritage orienteering course is 1.6 km long, has 100 m of positive elevation gain and includes six checkpoints. It starts at the car park in the centre of Valezan.
Church of Saint-François-de-Sales
The Church of Saint-François-de-Sales is located east of the village of Valezan on the Chemin des Chapelles. It was built in 1727 by a stonemason from Piedmont.
Inside, the church contains two paintings of Notre-Dame de la Salette, as well as other paintings of Saint Roch and Saint Geneviève. The retables, created later, preserve the spirit and dynamism of Baroque art. The high altar was completely redesigned in 1808 by the Piedmontese sculptor Jean-Baptiste Delponte.
