Lac Bleu is a 2.5-hectare mountain lake with a beach offering free swimming access and extensive green spaces. Trout fishing is possible at Lac Bleu; a fishing permit can be purchased at the tourist office.
The “Initiation Kayak” activity is a 1.5-hour, playfully guided kayaking lesson at Lac Bleu led by a qualified instructor. “Initiation au Paddle” offers paddleboarding sessions at Lac Bleu de Morillon led by a qualified instructor.
Hiking Trails
The marked “La Croix des 7 Frères” hiking trail reaches Morillon’s highest point at 1,684 m and offers beautiful views of the valley. It starts to the right of the Les Esserts chairlift.
The marked “Au fil du Giffre” hiking trail begins at Lac Bleu de Morillon and follows the left bank of the Giffre.
The “Morillon et ses hameaux” hiking trail leads through the hamlets of Morillon, showcasing local architecture and religious heritage through its chapels.
The “Alpage de la Vieille” hiking trail is suitable for children aged three and over and is ideal for observing local wildlife such as goats, sheep and marmots.
Culture
The Chapelle du Châtelard was built in 1750. The Chapelle des Miaux houses a beautiful Pietà of unknown origin.
The Ferme de la Vieille offers tastings of cheese from its mountain pasture farm in Morillon.
