Culture

La Seigneurie des Cornelles offers demonstrations and introductions to traditional crafts, with artisans sharing their skills. It also features a guided tour through hidden paths and the site's legends. In Aranc, the Seigneurie is reconstructing a medieval village with workshops, a large hall, residential buildings and fortifications.

The Espace Comté Aranc displays and explains agricultural occupations and old cheese-making equipment from the Fruitières of the plateaus. The centre provides information about agriculture and, in particular, the former activities of the Fruitières on the plateau. Admission is free; guided tours with commentary are available by reservation.

The Les Saisons d'Aranc programme is intended to include theatre, concerts, dance, circus, exhibitions, storytelling events and workshops for cultural discovery.

History

The Church of Aranc contains architectural elements from several periods. In 1700, it comprised six chapels. The structural remains of Château de Rougemont extend over a considerable area.
