Visitor facilities and community life
On 19 September 2025, visitors in Årsballe could eat food they had brought with them, refill drinking bottles in the outdoor kitchen area, charge mobile phones and use a toilet. If any of these facilities are important to your day’s plans, check before visiting whether they will be available at the time of your visit.
The community centre in Årsballe was fitted with new common areas, a kitchenette and an accessible toilet.
On 19 September 2025, the municipality also reported that shared meals are held monthly in Årsballe. If you would like to include a meal in your trip plans, ask about the current dates before relying on this option.
Two trails of different lengths
The 1.5 km trail goes around the lake by Årsballe Mose. A longer option is a route of around 9 km connecting Klemensker and Årsballe: it starts on Mælkevejen, continues along Kongestien to Årsballe, and passes the gathering places Billen and Fuglemosen, as well as Naturhuset. The two trails therefore differ both in their stated length and in their course: the shorter trail goes around the lake, while the longer route connects two villages.
The distances help you choose, but do not indicate how long the walks will take. Ground conditions or hunting may temporarily affect the trail around Årsballe Mose. Bear this in mind when planning, and check conditions if you are relying on the route for a particular day.
Historical connection and Bornholm as a whole
Tejn Mølle, also known as Melsted Mølle, was built in Årsballe around 1800 and moved to Melsted in 2006.
