Dubec: Hotels and Accommodation
The history of Dubec includes the Church of the Archangel Michael: in 2021, a Baroque bell was restored and rehung in the church tower.
Culture and History
Dubec was first mentioned in 1357 and is an older Slavic settlement in the southern Tachov area. The Church of the Archangel Michael displays two construction phases from different periods, Gothic and Baroque. Baroque frescoes by Josef Wäg from Bor have been preserved on the vault. Between 2011 and 2020, the ceiling paintings, the interior decoration and the furnishings were restored.
The rural homestead No. 6 also preserves a piece of historic architecture: during its renovation, the original floor plan, including a black kitchen, was retained.
Landscape and Trails
Dubec is surrounded on all sides by fields or pastures. The village lies on the road between Bělá nad Radbuzou and Bor and on the Domažlice–Planá railway line. A European cycle route also passes through Dubec.
The “Milíře a vodní mlýny” educational trail starts and ends in the municipality at the railway station in Třemešné.
