Landscape
The Naučná stezka Údolà Moravské Sázavy educational trail runs through a wooded section of the Moravská Sázava valley between Albrechtice and Výprachtice. The Moravská Sázava rises at the foot of Buková hora and continues from Výprachtice toward Moravia.
History
Výprachtice was first mentioned in writing in 1304, in a deed of donation by King Wenceslaus II to Zbraslav Monastery. In the Middle Ages, a fortress stood at Na zámku, at the entrance to the Sázava valley at the end of Výprachtice; this was established through archaeological investigations. The Nový Hrad site, mapped as a ruin, lies in the wider regional surroundings of Výprachtice.
Culture
The rural Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Výprachtice is an Empire-style sacred building dating from 1815 to 1817, built on the site of an older structure, of which a 15th- to 16th-century tower has survived. The Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord is a significant landmark of Výprachtice and the surrounding landscape.
The Výprachtice war memorial stands in the center of the village below a slope at a road junction and commemorates the local people who fell in both world wars. The Column of the Most Holy Trinity in Výprachtice dates from 1863.
A pseudo-Gothic cast-iron cross in Výprachtice combines industrially manufactured cast-iron production with stone masonry. It stands on a stone pedestal with reliefs of Saint Anthony of Padua and the Instruments of the Passion of Christ.
