Nature
On the outskirts of the municipality of Hájek lies the eponymous Obora Hájek game reserve. It stretches between the municipalities of Hájek, Sadov and Velký Rybník and covers 418 hectares; red deer and mouflon can be observed there. The Obora Hájek educational trail is approximately 5.2 kilometres long and begins and ends at the game reserve entrance gate from the Hájek side.
Cycling
The “Okolo obory Hájek” cycling loop is an easy, 18-kilometre circular route that is more suitable for mountain bikes. It runs along the game reserve to Hájek.
Culture and History
The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk in Hájek is a protected cultural monument and a small sacral building dating from the first half of the 19th century. The Gothic water castle of Hájek was built in the 14th century as the seat of the local Loket fief holders. The Trinity Column is a high-quality example of artistic craftsmanship representing the type of small sacral monument typical of the region.
Railway
Hájek railway station is located on line 140 between Chomutov, Karlovy Vary and Cheb. It is integrated into the public transport system.
