Routes

The route “Podél Olešenky do Pekla a na sendražskou rozhlednu” leads from Sendraž along the road to Mezilesí and is not suitable for cyclists. Another connection is provided by the 24 km-long, moderately difficult route “Novoměstsko z rozhledny Na Vartě”. It is suitable for mountain bikes and trekking bikes and leads from Bydlo 1 km onward to Mezilesí, then along road III/28522 towards Sendraž.

History

Mezilesí is first mentioned in written sources on 30 August 1403. Ten weavers are documented in the village in 1757. There is also a stone cross from 1840 by the road below the inn.

Culture

The Památník československých legionářů 1914–1920 in Mezilesí displays the uniforms, equipment, personal belongings and weapons of Czechoslovak legionnaires in Russia from the period 1914 to 1920. Visits are unguided; visitors may ask questions.
