Tristach: Winter by the Lake, Tobogganing and Culture

If you are planning a longer excursion, you can consider the Karlsbader Hütte as a destination in its own right. It is located directly on Lake Laserz. From the Dolomitenhütte in the municipality of Tristach near Lienz, it can be reached via a two-hour hiking trail. The ascent from Tristach to the Karlsbader Hütte, on the other hand, takes around five hours. The time estimates refer to different starting points and should not be confused when planning your day.
