Along the way, they lead to viewpoints, alpine pastures, mountain streams and mountain lakes. The Blumenweg trail around the Hochhörndlspitze passes numerous alpine flowers that are protected under nature conservation laws. The Blumenweg also leads via Reckmoos and past the Lärchfilzhochalm to the Streuböden middle station or to Timok’s Wilde Welt. The Wildseeloderhaus is located directly on the shore of Wildseelodersee and serves regional specialities. Timok’s Entdecker Checker Pfad offers a particular focus for families and groups with different interests. Along the trail, there are huge animal replicas and interactive play stations. Timok’s Wilde Welt is considered an excursion destination for the whole family; admission is free, with only the Alpine Coaster ride subject to a charge. Lauchsee is a small moor lake surrounded by gentle mountains. From there, there are views of the Wilder Kaiser, the Loferer Mountains and the Kitzbühel Alps. The extensive grounds are considered a bathing and family area. The southern shore of Lauchsee is reserved specifically for fishing. Another option is AUBAD in Fieberbrunn, with an indoor sports pool, an outdoor swimming channel, a 65-metre-long tunnel slide, a children’s pool, a sauna village and a restaurant. The Schreienden Brunnen are also part of the landscape: they are a small veil waterfall in the Hörndlingergraben, fed by Wildalpsee and possessing drinking-water quality.

History and origin of the name

The parish church of Sts Primus and Felician is part of the local heritage. It was consecrated on 17 June 1446 and features ceiling frescoes by Innsbruck artist Wolfram Köberl, created in 1982/83. The name Fieberbrunn appears regularly in documents from the 15th century, and more rarely in the shortened form Prun. The name derives from the healing spring at Pramau.
