Berchtesgaden, Oberstdorf and Garmisch Partenkirchen are famous all over the world. But skiing takes place not only in the German Alps. The largest ski region in the North of the Alps is called Sauerland. There are many famous ski resorts there including such places as Winterberg and Willingen. Schwarzwald is also an excellent place for cross-country skiing and alpine skiing. The Thuringian Forest, Harz and Eifel – all those regions are good for skiing.

By the way, Germany belongs to the number of the most successful nations in competitions like bobsledding, luge and ski jumping. This country offers excellent facilities for these sports. No matter if it is ice skating or dogsled races or romantic walks in the snow – all these belong to winter sports all the same.

Lifts in Courchevel will be adapted for the children
The famous ski resort of Courchevel in France has decided to care not only about the oligarchs, but also the younger generation. Before the winter 2012-2013 season administration of the resort decided to upgrade all 18 chairlifts lifts to make them more comfortable for the children.
