“skiline” service for a Dachstein ski holiday

The Dachstein Glacier is located in Austria’s Styria region. It offers ski holidaymakers many sensational highlights. The Dachstein Ice Palace enchants visitors with a fascinating world of ice set to mystical music. This work of art, made of ice, light and sound, took a year to create. The “Ice Age” stars Diego, Manny, Sid and Scrat are also frosty residents of the Ice Palace—much to the delight of younger ski holidaymakers.

Dachstein Glacier with panoramic views

The majestic mountain scenery offers breathtaking panoramic views not only to skiers. Mountaineering, freeskiing, climbing, cross-country skiing, paragliding, skiing, snowboarding, hiking and sightseeing—it’s all possible. The Hunerkogel Panorama Restaurant also enhances the enjoyment of its culinary delights with unique views from the summit.

Dachstein Sky Walk

The only view that can top this one is probably from the Dachstein Sky Walk at the Dachstein cable car’s mountain station. But it takes courage to step onto this spectacular viewing platform on the Hunerkogel’s steep face, which drops 250 m. It’s well worth it, though, to enjoy the view of the Dachstein’s fascinating south face and the most beautiful Alpine peaks.

Snowboarding highlights

Snowboarding highlights include the “Atomic Superpark” and “Edelgries”. The Atomicpark is a popular meeting place for snowboarders, while “Edelgries” is a secret tip for freeriders.

With “skiline”, the operators receive information about ski holidaymakers’ use of the slopes. They also want to make this service available to guests of the Dachstein Glacier. By entering several ski passes, it’s also possible to get an overview for the whole family.
