The slopes around Hörnli and Weisshorn offer plenty of variety. With 60 km of groomed pistes and 40 km of ungroomed descents, there is suitable terrain for all ability levels. The wonderfully wide pistes range from intermediate to easy, making them ideal for relaxed skiing. The ski lifts are relaxing too, with virtually no waiting times.
Brüggerhorn offers superb terrain and deep snow for snowboarders and freeriders, as well as a fun park and a 150 m halfpipe. The easy run alongside the deep-snow slopes down to Prätschli is perfect for beginners.
The compact Arosa ski area is also ideal for families. It bears the “Families Welcome” quality seal. Children enjoy exciting daily adventures with the Alpenclub Mickey Mouse. The kids can look forward to lots of great-value offers, surprises and playgrounds, where they can learn to use skis and snowboards through play.
Arosa is one of the 17 “Alpine Pearls” communities committed to environmentally conscious nature conservation. About half of last year’s ski holiday guests travelled by train or bus, or chose hotels close to the slopes. That is easy in Arosa, as around 70 percent of accommodation is right by the ski pistes. With frequent free bus services, it is easy to do without a car.
Climate-neutral ski holidays have also been possible since the last winter season. The CO² emissions value is calculated based on guests’ information about their journey and leisure activities. Arosa covers contributions to projects that reduce emissions, such as biogas plants—at no cost to ski holidaymakers.
