Nature and trails
Lake Obersee lies at 1,739 m above sea level, is the larger of the two lakes and is located in the middle of Arosa’s built-up area. In summer, Lake Obersee can be explored by pedal boats, rowing boats and stand-up paddleboards. The Obersee activity and green zone includes a bouldering block and fitness equipment. The Untersee lido has a solar-heated paddling pool.
Arosa Bear Sanctuary is located directly next to the middle station of the Arosa Weisshorn aerial cableway. It provides bears rescued from poor living conditions with a species-appropriate home. On the bear platform, visitors can learn interesting facts about the biology of bears.
On the various themed trails in Arosa, visitors can feed animals and discover fauna and flora. The themed trails combine hiking and learning in a playful way. Well-maintained and signposted hiking trails in and around Arosa lead to crystal-clear mountain lakes and mountain peaks of up to 2,900 m. On the Arosa Squirrel Trail, squirrels can be observed and fed at any time of year.
Culture
The Bergkirchli was built in 1492/93 and houses a historic house organ. During the summer and winter seasons, a romantic 45-minute short concert takes place at the Bergkirchli in Innerarosa every Tuesday at 5 p.m.
The Arosa Schanfigg Local History Museum is located in the “Eggahuus”, a log-built house constructed around 1600.
Golf
Arosa Golf Club includes a covered driving range as well as putting and chipping areas. The club has an 18-hole golf course with a par of 65, which opened in summer 2001. The driving range facility at Arosa Golf Course is open to beginners and experienced golfers.
