If you are planning Menzingen as a travel destination, you may wish to book a hotel as part of your personal travel arrangements.
Winter
Menzingen also offers opportunities for hiking, walking, horse riding, cycling and winter sports. The Gschichtli-Weg Menzingen is an audio trail for children aged four to ten. On the Gottschalkenberg, the Climate Trail follows a circular route of around two kilometres, with ten stations and a duration of approximately 40 minutes.
Nature
Menzingen's hilly landscape is of national significance and protected by the Swiss Confederation. The panorama from the Gubel extends across the Zug region – from the moraine landscape to Lake Zug and the Rigi. From the Bellevue viewpoint on the Gottschalkenberg, the view reaches towards the Lake Zurich region on one side and the Glarus Alps on the other.
From Finstersee, a footpath leads to the Mülibach waterfall, which is around ten metres high. The hike from Raten to Menzingen passes through scenic landscapes offering views of the Alps, large and small lakes, and the cities of Zurich and Zug.
Culture
The Lassalle House is a centre for spirituality and interreligious dialogue and attracts visitors from further afield. The Capuchin monastery of Maria Hilf, founded in 1851, is located on the Gubel.
Gastronomy
Restaurants can be found both in the village of Menzingen and at excursion destinations within the municipality.
