Fionnay is a locality in the political municipality of Val de Bagnes in the Swiss canton of Valais. The village is considered the last significant settlement in Val de Bagnes and lies below the Corbassière Glacier and Grand Combin at approximately 1,492 metres above sea level.

Landscape and Surroundings
Têtes de Louvie is located in the immediate surroundings of Fionnay, as is Becca de Sery. The surrounding area includes Monts de Sion, Mont Gelé and Le Crêt. Lac de Fionnay and the reservoir of the Forces Motrices de Mauvoisin power plant are also associated with Fionnay.
History
Tourism by English mountaineers led to hotels being established in Fionnay in the late 19th century. Later, the settlement accommodated workers who were involved in the construction of the Mauvoisin Dam.
Transport
Fionnay is served by a TMR bus route in public transport, operating from Le Châble railway station to the Mauvoisin reservoir.
