Hilterfingen is one of the locations of Switzerland’s oldest and largest sailing schools. Lake Thun Sailing School offers guided sailing trips and sailing courses; its fleet includes more than 50 sailing boats of various types and sizes.

Cruises on Lake Thun include Hilterfingen on the route between Interlaken West and Thun. The Hünegg lido also offers various activities on the water: its diving tower has platforms at heights of one, three and five metres. Visitors can also swim across Lake Thun to a raft.

The sunny slopes in Hilterfingen and Oberhofen are home to vineyards. In the Hilterfingen–Oberhofen area, locally produced barrel-aged wine can be tasted on Lake Thun. Two winegrowers’ cooperatives in this area produce fresh, fruity wines and specialities.
