Nature
The Triglavska-Bistrica Trail begins in Mojstrana at the Slovenian Alpine Museum. From Mojstrana, it leads past Peričnik Waterfall and the galleries to the source areas of the Vrata Valley. Technically, the trail is easy but long. Its route therefore leads from the settlement area via notable points in the Vrata Valley to its source areas.
Peričnik Waterfall is located in the Vrata Valley, approximately 4 km from Mojstrana. This distance is given as an approximate figure. The glacial valley of Krma is accessible from Mojstrana. The glacial valley of Kot is likewise accessible from Mojstrana. Krma and Kot are each treated as independent glacial valleys with a connection to Mojstrana.
Trails
Grančišče is a rocky cliff above the Veliki Breg settlement in Mojstrana. Two secured via ferratas lead to the summit of Grančišče. The trail to Grančišče begins at the car park by the Slovenian Alpine Museum in Mojstrana. Grančišče therefore encompasses the landform, access to the summit and the starting point of the trail.
Grančišče is one of three sport via ferratas in the municipality of Kranjska Gora. On the Mojstrana Via Ferrata, Aljaž's Route is rated difficulty level B and is 300 m long. The designations distinguish between the terrain at Grančišče, the via ferratas in the municipality and the individual route on the Mojstrana Via Ferrata.
The long-distance Juliana Trail passes through Mojstrana; it runs from Mojstrana to Kranjska Gora.
Culture
The Slovenian Alpine Museum in Mojstrana opened in 2010. Its exhibitions present stories of mountaineering, alpinism and mountain rescue. The Slovenian Alpine Museum also houses an information point for Triglav National Park. The museum therefore brings together the history of mountain sports and mountain rescue as well as information about the national park.
