In summer, the Meander Oravice Ski Park also operates a cable car for pedestrians and cyclists. The different trail lengths and seasonal offerings help you compare possible focuses for your stay.

Trails through Valleys

The Juráňová dolina nature trail begins at a crossroads in Oravice, leads through the Ticha Valley and returns to Oravice through the Bobrovecká Valley. Its circular route is about 8 kilometres long and takes approximately three hours on foot. The Antona Kocyana nature trail has two routes: Route A is 14.6 kilometres long and Route B is 3.2 kilometres long. Route A begins in Oravice and leads along a paved forest road to the Ticha Valley. Route A has 22 stations, while Route B has nine stations. Route B leads across the Peciská peat bog, where there is an observation tower.

A hiking route through the Juráňová Valley begins and ends in Oravice and leads through the Bobrovecká Valley. This route has an elevation difference of 230 metres and is also suitable for families with children. The Relaxation Trail is suitable for visitors with reduced mobility and is connected to car parks at both ends. The different lengths, numbers of stations and route layouts make the routes directly comparable.

Nature

In the vicinity of Oravice, south of the Oravice settlement, lies the protected Juráňová dolina area in Tatranský národný park. The Juráňová Valley gorge has steep rock walls, potholes, waterfalls and cascades. In the vicinity of Oravice, an elevated wooden walkway leads through the Peciská peat bog and through the habitats of a fen and wet meadows. In the Oravice area, the deposition of sediments in the Peciská peat bog began about 6,000 years ago.

Water and Warmth

The Meanderpark Oravice includes a thermal aquapark that is open all year round. All the aquapark's pools use 100 percent geothermal water. The thermal pools in Oravice use thermal water with a high iron content.

Culture and Local Character

The chapel in Oravice was built between 1817 and 1820 and restored in 1864. A memorial plaque to Anton Kocyan is located on the building of the former forestry administration. A forester's lodge originally stood at this site, where Anton Kocyan worked.
