Winter trails around Kapron and Ochsenberg
The two winter tours differ right from the start. The ski tour to Mittereck begins in Kapron at the Perwag farm. From Perwag, it initially follows a path eastwards and then southwards to Ochsenberg Alm. Mittereck is a summit in the Vallelunga Valley of the Vinschgau. The tobogganing tour on Ochsenberg, by contrast, begins with a hike through snow-covered spruce forest to St. Wendelin Chapel; Ochsenberg has a natural toboggan run. The return journey thus ends back in Kapron.

Goat's milk and goat's cheese from two alpine pastures
Around 120 goats are milked twice a day at Ochsenberg Alm. Their milk is taken to Kapron Alm, where dairy farmer Sepp Ladurner processes it into goat's cheese. The cheese production therefore follows the transport of the milk from one alpine pasture to the other. The two alpine pastures carry out different steps: the goats are milked at Ochsenberg Alm, while the milk is made into goat's cheese at Kapron Alm. For those interested in agriculture, animal husbandry, milk transport and cheese production are thus interconnected across two alpine pastures.
