Culture and Regional Mushroom Tradition
The Museo del Fungo is a permanent exhibition in Budoia’s renovated former dairy. The Festa dei Funghi e dell’Ambiente hosts the regional mycological exhibition. The Festa dei Funghi e dell’Ambiente has been held in Budoia for almost 50 years. For culture enthusiasts, both the permanent exhibition venue and the long-running Festa are therefore part of Budoia’s mushroom theme. The Festa expands the permanent exhibition venue with an event setting.

Historical Traces and Art
The archaeological site of Fortezza del Ciastelat preserves the remains of a fortress from the 10th century AD. The first construction of the Chiesetta di Santa Lucia in Colle dates from the 13th century. During restoration work, a fresco attributed to Gianfrancesco da Tolmezzo was discovered there in 1987. The Chiesetta thus combines its early construction phase with a fresco discovered later.

Nature Trails with Different Profiles
The Cunath Gorge forms pools and waterfalls beneath high rock walls. Water and rock take center stage here for a stretch of nature.
The Sentiero naturalistico Troi de Gor is a 2 km-long nature trail in the Colli di Santa Lucia and has a low level of difficulty. When planning a day in Budoia, the 2-km route can be included as a separate short trail section.
The Sentiero naturalistico San Tomè runs through the valley of the Torrente Artugna from Dardago to San Tomè. It is 2.5 km long, has an elevation gain of 200 m and has a low level of difficulty. When planning your time, you should allow for both the 2.5 km and the 200 m elevation gain.
The Sentiero del Ruial follows an old water conduit from the 17th century, made of hewn stone. Here, the thematic connection lies not only in the destination but also in the historic route itself.
Ciampore and the Short Connection to the Fortress
The Ciampore area is a large green space at the entrance to the Val de Croda. It has a car park, outdoor games, barbecue areas and toilets. The fortress trail connects to Ciampore as a green space at the entrance to the Val de Croda.
A path leads from Ciampore to the Fortezza del Ciastelat. It can be completed in ten minutes, is 1 km long, has an elevation gain of 70 m and has a low level of difficulty. The ten-minute walking time provides a clear time frame for this route.
A Cycling Tour with the Return Journey by Train
A 15.4 km cycling tour leads from Budoia-Polcenigo railway station to Sacile. It follows the Ciclovia del Livenza, designated as FVG 7, almost entirely. The tour is combined with the return journey by train from Sacile. For your planning, the excursion is divided into the cycling section to Sacile and the subsequent return journey by train.
