Blekendorf: Hotels and Accommodation

The Sehlendorf district of Blekendorf is home to nature reserves and protected landscapes alongside the almost four-kilometre-long Sehlendorf Beach.

Getting around

Blekendorf has an extensive network of routes for walks and cycling tours, including the Kranich-Rundweg adventure trail. The village also operates a motorhome site directly on the beach. Blekendorf is connected to the road network via the B202 and the L258.

Blekendorf has three campsites with pitches for permanent campers and short-term holiday guests from April to October.

Places to visit

Filippos Erlebnisgarten has a farm café serving homemade cakes and gateaux. Visitors can pick seasonal fruit such as strawberries, raspberries, cherries, apples and plums. The farm shop sells homemade jams, fruit spreads, preserves, juices, jellies and vinegar.

The Donkey and Rural Farm offers the opportunity to pet and groom donkeys. The site is designed to be accessible and has accessible toilets. Free parking is available directly at the attraction; there are also three solar-powered charging stations for electric vehicles.

The adventure world at Filippos Erlebnisgarten includes a pirate raft play area, a giant trampoline, go-karts and a petting zoo.

Culture and history

An early Gothic fieldstone church in Blekendorf was built between 1230 and 1240. Its 55-metre-high tower is visible from far away.

Inside, there is a late Baroque altar dating from 1709 and a wooden baptismal font from the same period as the altar. The pulpit bears coats of arms and names associated with the noble Ratlow family.
