Kottengrün is located on Eimberg at an elevation of 676 metres. Eimberg is also the local mountain of both Kottengrün and Werda. Outdoor Swimming Pool and Sports Field on Badstraße

The Kottengrün outdoor swimming pool was inaugurated on 2 August 1970. It is located on Badstraße in the immediate vicinity of the Kottengrün sports field. Its location on Badstraße and its immediate proximity to the sports field give the pool a specific local setting alongside the mountain trails.

Events with a regional character

The local events calendar includes the traditional hilltop bonfire, which the Kottengrün Volunteer Fire Brigade Association organises every year on 30 April. The fixed date makes the event a clear part of the annual planning calendar.

Kottengrüner Trämpele presents an evening of sketches with a current programme in Vogtland dialect.

On 15 September 2024, the Eimberg Autumn Market took place in Kottengrün, with almost 30 stalls to browse, sample products and linger at. 30 April falls in spring, while the Autumn Market on 15 September 2024 marks a later date in the course of the year.
