At the Sparkasse Vogtland Arena, visitors can take the WieLi to the ski jump tower and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area from the viewing platform and the ski jump tower capsule. The arena is also a venue for concerts ranging from classical music to rock, as well as folk festivals and popular sporting events.
Culture
The Klingenthal Tafelweg is a circular walking trail. It begins at the Dr.-Giers-Haus and leads to historically significant points around the town centre. Information boards along the Tafelweg provide local history, historical images, and information about the town's sights and the landscape of the Klingendes Tal.
The Klingenthal Museum documents the development of the town on the Aschberg into a music town. Church concerts are held periodically in the round church “Zum Friedefürsten”.
Nature
Klingenthal is located in the Erzgebirge/Vogtland Nature Park on the Czech border. The area around the Aschberg offers panoramic views over the Vogtland, Upper Franconia, neighbouring Bohemia, and Klingenthal's narrow valleys.
The 50-kilometre Höhensteig trail is certified as a “Qualitätsweg Wanderbares Deutschland” quality trail and runs mostly along the ridges of the Upper Vogtland at elevations of 800 to over 900 metres. Along the Höhensteig, there are numerous inns suitable for a culinary break during a hike.
Leisure
More than 40 animal species are showcased at Klingenthal Zoo, including alpacas, pygmy goats, and meerkats. The zoo also has two playgrounds and a petting enclosure with guinea pigs and dwarf rabbits.
The Klingenthal–Markneukirchen gravel tour connects the two music towns through deep forests, gentle hills, and streams. It runs mainly along existing cycle paths and public roads and is not specifically signposted.
