Since December 1982, the Mitterfels Castle Museum has been housed in the approximately 200-year-old prison wing of the former district court and later local court. In the cells of the former prison, the museum presents workshops belonging to a village blacksmith, wheelwright, shoemaker, and goldsmith, as well as rural living and farming. Thus, traditional crafts and rural everyday life are showcased alongside the history of the building that houses the museum.

The Hien-Sölde and St. George’s Church also each offer their own focus on architectural history. The Hien-Sölde is a late medieval timber-block building on a rubble-stone foundation; its origins date back to 1436. St. George’s Church was built in 1734 in the Late Baroque style.
